Wildlife Experience in Garjiya Zone

Garjiya Zone has recently shown a rise in wildlife encounters due to its rich habitat and calm forest trails. During the safari, visitors may witness:

Winter Season
Morning: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Evening: 2:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Summer Season
Morning: 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM
Evening: 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM

(Timings may vary slightly depending on forest department regulations.)

Stay Options

  • Forest rest houses are not available inside Sitabani

  •  Comfortable stays can be found nearby, including:

    • Resorts near Sitabani Gate

    • Hotels and resorts in Ramnagar and Dhikuli

Staying closer to the gate can help with early safari entry and travel convenience.

Best Time to Visit

 

  • Garjiya Zone generally remains open from October to June.

    Best wildlife sighting periods:

    • November – April: Pleasant weather with good tiger movement

    • Summer months: Excellent sightings near water sources and riverbanks

    The park remains closed during the monsoon season to protect wildlife and maintain safari tracks.

  • Best months: November to April

  • Summer: Higher chances of wildlife near water sources

  • Monsoon: Lush green forest scenery (roads may be slippery)

Important Visitor Information

  • Advance safari permit booking is mandatory

  • Limited number of jeeps allowed per safari shift

  • Only authorized gypsies and trained guides are permitted inside the park

  • Maintain silence during wildlife sightings

  • Do not litter or disturb animals

  • Follow all forest department guidelines
